Volunteer program

Welcoming newcomers takes the entire community!

Welcoming happens in many ways:

  • The way we greet and treat people;
  • The attitudes we hold;
  • The level of cultural competence we attain in the jobs we do;
  • Volunteering to make a difference in the lives of those who are new in our community; and
  • So much more.

ECNWCI's role and how you can support us:

In order to protect our clients’ privacy and rights, and to ensure that those helping are equipped to provide the best support possible, ECNWCI  has a formal process through which we screen our volunteers. You can read more about the process on our volunteer application page.
